the year of reinvention
And so it begins…. 2020, the year of reinvention. I have spent the last two decades of my life working in arts and culture and small not-for-profits in Stratford, Ontario. This year, this sector of our lives was devastated by the world pandemic. I have specialized in gathering large groups of people to enjoy art, music, food and wine for most of my adult life and now what? We can’t gather!! Time for a new way of applying my skill set.
I took the time in quarantine to think about what was needed and how I could find a new place in our community. Quite naturally, friends and neighbours started leaning on each other for their day to day essentials. Sometimes it was just a phone call and connection, but often it was shopping, helping out with administrative tasks or throwing a curbside concert. The requests were varied and interesting and left me feeling like I was contributing in some small way to our little pocket of the world. And so it began…. Wild Honey Concierge Services was put into motion.
This week at Wild Honey….
We launch a Facebook business page for a small Inn, housesit for neighbours who are at their cottage, catch up on donor/data management at Stratford Summer Music and organize a small rural Ontario roadtrip with a cabin stay in Huron County.
I love the diverse nature of this service. I hope you will too.
